Equity Research Analyst/Associate- Payments, Processors & IT Services

Job Description

The Payments, Processors & IT Services research team covers roughly 30 stocks, including major companies in the Payments sector (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Square) and in the IT Services sector (Accenture and Cognizant). We have recently added coverage of multiple high-growth small/mid-cap names with disruptive potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work
• Write regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratch
• Participate in IPO-related vettings and analyst days
• Develop databases integral to our research product
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment
• Work with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themes
• Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies
• Participate in and contribute to client meetings and events
• Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders
• Closely follow and understand market, industry, and company-specific activity, and relay to the analyst when traveling
• Seek out new, unusual sources of information
• Leverage our robust network of industry contacts
• Interact regularly with clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience – sell-side or buy-side (research, investment banking) experience preferred but not required
• Credit skills are a plus
• Expertise in MS Word and MS Excel; strong modeling skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and intense environment
• Basic understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, international affairs, and policy/politics, in addition to Finance and Accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Strong intellectual curiosity

Pay Transparency Details

Location: US - NY - New York - ONE BRYANT PARK - BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100)

Pay Range: $110,000.00 – $175,000.00 annualized salary. Offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skill set.

Discretionary Incentive Eligible: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group, and the overall success of the Company.
