Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking driven and client-focused individuals who are passionate about asset management and eager to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in financial markets, a commercial mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships with both colleagues and clients. You should be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including senior professionals and external clients. If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy problem-solving, and are keen to make a tangible impact, we would like to hear from you.
Required skills and capabilities
- Shows genuine interest in asset management and current market trends, with the ability to discuss the impact of economic events on investments and form well-reasoned opinions on commercial or financial matters.
- Demonstrates moderate understanding of finance, able to discuss macro-level topics with clients and articulate insights effectively.
- Acts as a self-starter who is driven and passionate, willingly takes initiative, and seeks out opportunities—evidenced by leading or launching projects, societies, or volunteering activities.
- Maintains composure and methodical thinking under pressure, balancing commitments and delivering results even in high-pressure environments.
- Confident, authentic communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to adapt style to different audiences, present clearly, and build rapport—whether in person, over the phone, or in client-facing situations.
- Manages time, tasks, and expectations effectively, demonstrating event or project coordination skills, diary management, and successful use of organizational tools.
- Analytical and resourceful, quickly understands client issues, listens actively, and identifies practical, effective solutions using available tools and networks.
- Works well in teams, prioritizes client needs, and develops strong, trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues, maintaining a professional network.
The team
Client Group brings together our key client-facing functions including Sales, Client Service, Product and Marketing. These teams are based both centrally in our London headquarters and globally across our network of 38 locations around the world. Our clients range from official institutions and pension schemes to family offices and wealth intermediaries globally. The Client Group’s integrated approach ensures that every solution and interaction is client-centric, leading to exceptional service and strong, lasting relationships.
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications we’re looking for
- You will be in your penultimate year of university study. Unfortunately, we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e., Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course.
- A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to understand our target audiences.
- Bilingual in English and an Asian language would be a plus.
- A self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute.
We're looking for the best, whoever they are
Diversity is at the heart of our culture. We strive to ensure inclusion at every level, to ensure that our actions match our words, and that our culture of belonging defines how we do business. We are an equal opportunities employer. You're welcome here whatever your socio-economic background, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious belief, age or disability.
We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
We have around 6,000 people on six continents. And we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
