Role details

The team

Schroders Wealth Transformation team has a remit across the transformation lifecycle from strategy to execution. We collaborate with our business and technology partners across the Schroders Group to enable our Cazenove and Schroders International Wealth business to thrive in an increasingly competitive, regulated and margin‑pressed global landscape by shaping, mobilising and delivering both transformational and essential change to allow the business to grow profitably while providing high levels of investment performance and client experience.

Who we're looking for

This role sits within a small, high‑impact team focused on improving how the business works through office automation, data‑driven insight, and practical digital solutions. The successful candidate will design and deliver Power Apps–based solutions, dashboards, and automated workflows that remove manual effort, improve transparency, and support better decision‑making across the business. Solutions will be used globally, working with stakeholders across multiple regions and functions. This is a hands‑on role suited to a smart, curious problem‑solver who enjoys learning, working directly with the business, and turning messy problems into simple, scalable solutions.

What you'll do

Office Automation & Power Platform

  • Design, build, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑driven) to automate business processes.
  • Develop Power Automate flows to remove manual steps, reduce operational risk, and improve turnaround times.
  • Own solutions end‑to‑end: from problem definition and design through to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure solutions are robust, well‑documented, and scalable for global use.

Data, Reporting & Visualisation

  • Work with structured and semi‑structured data from multiple sources (e.g. Excel, SharePoint, business systems).
  • Build clear, intuitive dashboards and visualisations that support operational and management decision‑making.
  • Translate complex data into simple narratives that senior stakeholders can easily understand.
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis and insight where needed, often at short notice.

Business Engagement & Solution Design

  • Partner with teams across Operations, Front Office, Finance, Risk, and Technology to understand real business problems.
  • Act as a single point of delivery for smaller automation and data initiatives within the team’s remit.
  • Challenge inefficient processes and propose smarter, simpler ways of working.
  • Balance speed and pragmatism with appropriate controls and governance.

Continuous Improvement & Learning

  • Proactively identify opportunities where automation or data can create value.
  • Stay current with Power Platform capabilities and emerging tooling.
  • Share knowledge, patterns, and reusable components across the team.

The skills, experience and knowledge you'll need

  • Strong experience building solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • High level of comfort working with data (Excel, SharePoint lists, structured datasets).
  • Proven ability to create clear, effective visualisations and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – able to think logically and end‑to‑end.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating needs into delivered solutions.

The skills, experience and knowledge that will help

  • Exposure to Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
  • Experience in financial services or a complex, regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with global operating models and cross‑regional delivery.
  • Basic understanding of data governance and controls.

What you'll be like

  • Smart thinker who can quickly understand complex problems.
  • Curious and keen to learn, with a genuine interest in improving how organisations work.
  • Pragmatic, delivery‑focused, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Takes ownership and pride in building solutions that people actually use.
  • Self starter, keen to roll their sleeves up, learn, challenge and collaborate.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, and able to respond pro‑actively to altered circumstances.
  • Receptive to others’ ideas and responds constructively to challenges.
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage setbacks constructively.
  • Pro‑actively seeks feedback and accepts this positively. Regularly provides feedback to colleagues.
  • Committed to achieving higher levels of performance and sustained improvement.
  • Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
