About Us
Join a global, purpose-driven, and sustainable pension plan with a strong focus on inclusion and development. We empower employees to grow, prioritize wellness, build connections, and support the communities where we live and work. We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity of thought, expertise, and experience.
Role
AI Enablement & Adoption Specialist (Intern) — Fall term (September to December). Reporting to the AI Transformation Office, this role is a proactive, people-centric guide dedicated to accelerating AI fluency across our corporate office. You will operate as a hands-on coach and adoption advocate to help employees confidently integrate enterprise AI tools—specifically Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and Claude—into daily tasks. You’ll provide on-demand floor support, lightweight training, and immediate troubleshooting to maximize productivity securely, effectively, and without frustration. This is a student internship with a strong emphasis on initiative and self-starting drive.
Responsibilities
On-Demand Coaching & Support
- Act as the visible, go-to resource in the office. Provide 1:1 and small-group troubleshooting, prompt refinement, and immediate assistance for employees starting with Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
Training & Enablement
- Develop and deliver lightweight micro-training, host office hours, and share practical “how-to” guides that demonstrate effective AI usage for daily tasks.
Adoption Advocacy
- Monitor tool usage, collect feedback, identify common hurdles, and share internal success stories and use cases to organically grow adoption.
Task-Level Integration
- Assist individuals in applying AI directly to their work (e.g., drafting emails, summarizing meetings, generating ideas) without requiring formal, large-scale business process mapping.
Responsible AI Guidance
- Educate staff on AI governance policies, ensuring data privacy, risk mitigation, and safe guardrails during daily AI use.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- Background in corporate support, peer coaching, training, IT helpdesk, or technology adoption. Emphasis is on aptitude and a track record of helping others rather than strict years of experience.
AI Literacy
- Practical familiarity with generative AI tools—specifically Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and Claude—including prompt engineering basics and awareness of their corporate capabilities and limitations.
Communication
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate AI concepts into accessible, actionable guidance for non-technical employees.
Problem Solving
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset focused on helping users overcome obstacles and craft effective prompts to achieve desired outputs.
Empathy & Patience
- High emotional intelligence to guide employees with varying levels of tech-savviness or hesitation about adopting AI tools.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected hourly range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. The annualized base salary for the primary location and additional locations is listed below; final offers will consider factors including the individual’s skill set. You may also be eligible for annual Incentive Awards under our Short-term and Long-term Incentive plans, and to participate in group benefits and retirement plans. Details are provided in OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
Equal Opportunity
As one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, we strive for a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer and maintain an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process, supported by Employee Resource Groups, executive sponsorship, and recognition programs.
