Department / Section
EMEA Capital Markets Group focuses on origination, structuring and distribution (OtD) of financial instruments with the objective of raising capital for MUFG clients. The department works in close partnership with GCIB, representing borrowers in need of capital, and with distribution channels, or purchasers of financial instruments.
The EMEA Investment Grade Capital Markets team seeks to leverage MUFG's Investment Grade corporate client relationships and global investor footprint to provide comprehensive financing solutions.

Main Purpose of the Role
- You will have accountability for the following named departments, including: EMEA Capital Markets / Bond & Loan Origination.
- You will be employed by MUFG Securities EMEA plc (MUSE) with dual hat status for MUFG, Bank, Ltd. (Bank).
- You will be responsible for supporting the business to deliver the annual budget target.
- You will demonstrate professional behaviour consistent with MUFG’s corporate culture and values.
- You will adhere to regulatory expectations regarding business activities and control frameworks, and remediate regulatory issues to operate safely and soundly.
Key Responsibilities
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and GCIB’S/EMEA Capital Markets, including:
- Support the Bond & Loan Origination function throughout the stages from initial transaction analysis to final documentation and completion, including preparing pricing, deal screening support memos, and arranging material for pricing meetings.
- Lead the production of high-quality, tailor-made client presentations and pitch-books.
- Produce market research on pricing, deal structures and investor activity as required.
- Focus on internal/external management of transactions with emphasis on preparation of offers, client presentations and management of the documentation process.
- Provide support to senior originators, ensuring that all administrative and compliance tasks associated with origination are completed.
- Build client relationships and approach clients in a professional and structured way.
- Develop a practical understanding of wider product capabilities and how the Bonds & Loans teams interact with these products, including client relationship profitability.
- Develop a practical understanding of core systems and procedures and how they link to standard systems to respond to inquiries.
- Technical Capability:
- Identify and understand issues, errors, or concerns, resolve problems promptly according to procedures and service needs.
- Manage conflicting priorities and re-prioritize work accordingly.
- Work effectively with others inside and outside of EMEA Capital Markets, building relationships.
- Make result-driven decisions and manage large workloads and tight deadlines.
- Use a range of communication skills to adapt to clients, stakeholders and external parties.
- Relationship with other functions and stakeholders:
- Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop local policies and procedures aligned with One MUFG and the Group strategy.

Essential: Analyst level position at a global bank.
Preferred: Deal/pricing experience across Bonds or Loans.
