Role details
Company Description
Checkout.com powers payments for brands like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. We enable over 10 billion transactions daily for more than one billion global shoppers, supporting a wide range of online experiences—from booking holidays and ordering food to renewing subscriptions and completing online purchases. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact. With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech.
The Mission
We are looking for a highly analytical business builder to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for opening doors at the world’s most prestigious brands, but by working smarter, not just harder. We are not looking for someone to merely “dial for dollars.” We want a strategic operator who loves tinkering, testing, and optimizing. You will combine high-volume activity with high-precision targeting, using data and technology to architect your own success.
What You’ll Do
- Drive High-Velocity Growth: Generate qualified initial meetings at volume. Engage the market through a high number of touchpoints (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to consistently open doors and build pipeline.
- Execute & Optimize Workflows: Improve processes, manage your pipeline efficiently, and increase conversion yield. A/B test messaging, analyze metrics, and refine your approach based on evidence.
- Leverage & Evolve the Stack: Proactively use and push the limits of our sales technology (CRM, intent data, enrichment tools). Experiment with new tools and approaches to uncover opportunities others miss.
- Operational Rigor & Data Hygiene: Treat the CRM as an operating system. Maintain impeccable data standards and log every interaction accurately to support automation and informed decisions.
What You Bring
- The “Hacker” Mindset: You love tinkering and testing, use keyboard shortcuts, seek automations for repetitive tasks, and aim to make workflows faster.
- Resilience, Grit & Iteration: You handle rejection as data, analyze why it didn’t work, adjust variables, and try again with a better approach.
- Intellectual Curiosity: You want to understand how things work and the mechanics of the financial technology industry.
- Analytical Precision: You are comfortable with numbers and data; you understand that clean data is the foundation of a successful sales strategy.
Requirements
- Relevant Experience: Previous BDR/GTM experience (6 months – 2 years) in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Technical Competency: Familiarity with logic-based tools. Experience with Zapier, Clay, Advanced Excel, or basic SQL/API knowledge is highly preferred.
- Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability to spot inefficiencies in a process and suggest improvements.
Growth Mindset: We look for a “Learn-it-all,” not a “Know-it-all.” You are eager to master complex concepts, adapt to new technologies, and grow your skillset.
We recognize that talent comes in many forms. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.
