Commercial: Our comprehensive suite of commercial products and services enables collaboration with clients across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance, and more.

Position Purpose

Junior Trader Ocean Freight will support the Senior Vice President (SVP) Ocean Freight in day-to-day commercial tasks involved in securing cost-efficient, quality ocean freight for the StoneX group.

Responsibilities

• Mark-to-market data input – fuel/FFA/ships and freight
• Calculate and report risk limits
• Complete and report new country approval forms
• Vet Rightship and follow up with owners
• Provide tanker vetting if required
• CRM tool development
• Trading support
• Competent use of Veson voyage calculator
• Daily update of freight grid and assumptions – distribute to traders
• Provide freight quote responses to internal commodity traders
• Daily freight report circulation
• Review operating voyages and escalate to SVP Ocean Freight for changes in P&L of voyages
• Oversee contract entry – ensure correct input in Veson

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant experience
• Hiring Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000. Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. Subject to business performance and management recommendations; eligibility for incentive compensation may apply. This compensation package may include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits dependent on the position.
