Overview

Join our flagship program and work alongside senior business leaders and industry experts to develop strategies that support our clients’ needs. You’ll collaborate with teams that manage and distribute investment solutions across asset classes for institutions and financial intermediaries, while gaining training, mentoring, access to senior leaders, and engaging projects that build your skills.

What You Can Expect

As an Asset Management Summer Analyst in our Asset Management Summer Analyst Program, you will join a nine-week program that kicks off with training and orientation to our businesses. You’ll gain the technical and practical knowledge to make an impact from the start.

The program is non-rotational, providing you with an opportunity to develop solid relationships with your desk/team and participate in real-time projects. Be prepared to be flexible, learn quickly, and act on your judgments. You’ll have the support of a dedicated junior and senior staff member to help you integrate into your team and answer questions throughout the summer.

The program is an opportunity to take your career to the next level through hands-on experience, skills training, and professional networking. As it is a pipeline for future graduate opportunities, those who successfully complete the program may receive offers of full-time employment with the firm based on performance and achievements.

Team Placements

You may be placed in one of the following teams for your nine-week Summer Internship (subject to business needs):

• Alternatives: The JPMAM alternatives platform provides a spectrum of innovative investments that, when used correctly, can generate new sources of return and portfolio diversification. Spanning real estate, real assets, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and liquid alternatives, our solutions provide dynamic opportunities to meet investors’ return objectives.
• Equities: We manage a broad range of equity investment strategies globally with dedicated portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders who help clients of all sizes.
• Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs): Deliver JPMAM’s US and UCITS ETFs to clients in the Asia Pacific region and help build local ETF platforms in select markets.
• Distribution Channels: Assist with client sales and retention while gaining exposure to asset classes and investment professionals across the firm.
• Market Insights: Provide clients and client advisors with knowledge and investment education to make informed decisions. Use the Guide to the Markets to deliver insights and bring clarity to today’s markets.
• Multi-Asset Solutions: Utilize capital markets investing, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management to develop portfolio solutions for clients.
• Product Strategy: Shape and position JPM Asset Management’s product range across all asset classes, working with product and sales teams.
• Sustainable Investing: Partner with global investment and distribution teams to develop ESG research and thought leadership.

Job Responsibilities

You can expect to make an impact through activities such as:

• Assisting with client sales and retention or investment specialist teams while gaining broad exposure to asset classes and investment professionals.
• Working with strategists and investment specialist teams to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and conduct market research.
• Learning about asset allocation strategies and identifying investment capabilities across traditional and alternative strategies to meet clients' objectives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

A strong interest in finance and asset management is essential, as are logical thinking, quantitative skills, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle pressure in a collaborative environment. A well-rounded academic background is important; you do not necessarily need a degree in Economics or Finance, but numeracy is required.

Additional requirements include:

• A strong interest in finance and asset management with a well-rounded academic background
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure in a collaborative environment
• A good level of numeracy (degree in Economics or Finance not required)
• Excellent attention to detail, logical thinking, and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask
• Strong initiative, proactivity, energy, and confidence
• Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information
• Expected graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028 (inclusive)
• Availability for a full-time internship from June to August 2027
