Associate/Senior Associate, Money Market Dealer, G7 Money Market & Repo Trading, Global Financial Markets

Overview

G7 Money Market & Repo Trading Desk within Global Financial Markets has key oversight over short-term wholesale funding and liquidity management for Global Financial Markets, primarily in USD and other G10 currencies. The desk manages high-quality liquid asset bond portfolios and is active in the short-term repo markets to support internal flows, external client flows, and drive collateral optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Be actively involved and support the desk in its daily money market dealing operations across various products (FX swaps, deposits/loans, repo) and assist in liquidity management for Global Financial Markets.
• Assist in active management of high-quality liquid asset bond portfolio, development and implementation of investment and hedging strategies in accordance with market views.
• Monitor and analyze global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and events to identify trading opportunities and risks. Stay updated on industry developments with potential impact on desk activities.
• Work on digital initiatives to enhance balance sheet analysis, drive trade idea generation, monitor risk positions/P&L, and streamline desk processes.
• Manage and maintain MIS reports and reporting processes to support decision-making.
• Prepare succinct presentation materials for key stakeholder engagements.

Requirements

• University graduate with 1–3 years of work experience, preferably in the financial industry.
• Knowledge of money markets, fixed income, and derivatives products.
• Experience in managing a money market portfolio and/or bond portfolio preferred.
• Ability and interest in understanding relevant regulation and its impact on markets and balance sheet.
• Self-starter and team player with strong integrity, responsibility, and communication skills.
• Keen interest in building data analytical tools to drive decision-making for liquidity management, balance sheet analysis, and bond portfolio management.
• Able to work on public holidays on a rotation basis.
