Job Duties
- Actively manage risk in real time to protect the Firm and the Firm’s clients.
- Timely allocate a high number of trades and associated journals and resolve any resulting economic breaks or fails.
- Handle incoming queries from clients, custodians, PB, sales, trading desks, and other internal stakeholders.
- Work on trade reconciliation, risk reconciliation, and completion of tasks associated with control around the business.
- Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and automation.
- Document procedures and process flows to enhance controls around the business.
- Review daily control reports to ensure all trade bookings and risk management are accurate.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
- Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with:
- Working with the overall trade booking lifecycle including Pre-Trade, Trade Execution, Trade Clearing, Trade Settlement, and the final stage of Position and Risk Management.
- Risk frameworks including trade and risk reconciliation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.
- Business analytics tools including Tableau or Alteryx.
- Re-engineering manual processes with creative brainstorming solutions coupled with an eye for automation.
Salary
Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $113,000 – $145,000.
