Associate, Trading — Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, New York, NY

Responsibilities

• Price and execute trades in interest rate options and exotic products, typically on behalf of the firm’s clients.
• Change and execute orders, manage risk of related books, and build relationships with sales, operations, engineering, and structuring teams to deliver premier client experience.
• Collaborate with other trading desks and Sales to identify potential transactions and clients across institutional and industry segments.
• Work with senior team members to proactively pitch and originate new transactions and build relationships with clients and advisors.
• Partner with control-side personnel during execution to ensure transaction approval and support.
• Structure and price transactions as part of a collaborative team.
• Manage ongoing market risks post-execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the offered role or a related role.
• Two (2) years of experience with:
  • Working with interest rate derivatives including futures, swaps, vanilla and exotic options;
  • Pricing parameters, risks, market conventions, and market structure;
  • Conducting quantitative analysis on complex trading products, including mathematical valuations and probability-weighted outcomes to provide liquidity and manage risk;
  • Presenting trade and hedge ideas and risk analyses to senior leaders;
  • Liaising with clients and internal sub-groups to achieve commercial outcomes;
  • Performing studies on market liquidity and execution costs of trading various interest rate products;
  • Performing regression data analytics on historical trading data.

Compensation

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $134,000 - $195,000.
