Overview

Investment Banking Analysts are integral members of the Investment Banking team. They participate in the design, origination, structuring, and execution of investment banking products and services for existing and prospective clients. Analysts participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions, gaining exposure to key executives and senior bankers. Analysts work as part of a team including Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors.

Role Details

Our Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is seeking a second-year Investment Banking Analyst to support the Consumer & Retail team at our New York City office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in analyzing companies, develop client strategies, pull market and industry research, and complete trading simulations within the Investment Banking Mid-Year Program
• Review strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
• Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education

• Equity Capital Markets experience
• Experience within the Consumer & Retail industry
• Robust financial modeling skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, highly focused collaborative team environment with personal accountability and urgency for results

Job Expectations

• Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if not transferrable on hire; FINRA equivalents accepted
• Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) within 90 days of hire date; FINRA equivalents accepted
• Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) within 90 days of hire date; FINRA equivalents accepted
• Subject to FINRA background screening; must pass background check prior to hire. Individuals under statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer
• Compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; information may be shared with the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team
• Visa sponsorship is not available
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
