Who you are

You're super-curious, ambitious, and ready to make your mark. You take pride in doing great work, love it when things get busy, and know that working together delivers the best results. If you’re a quick learner that’s passionate about solving problems and eager to make a difference working on real-world investment banking deals from day one, this could be the programme for you.

  • Collaboration – You’re a team player who can work well with colleagues across all levels. You’re dependable, trustworthy, and can confidently contribute in a way that supports the whole team. You’re always ready to step up when needed.
  • Analytical mindset – You enjoy working with numbers and data. You spot typos, formatting issues in Excel and PowerPoint, and flag numbers that don’t add up.
  • Clear communication – You can explain your ideas clearly, whether discussing analysis with a Senior Banker or creating a sharp, well-structured deck. You know how to write a clear, effective email and tell a story with slides.
  • Resilience – You stay positive and focused under pressure, even with tight timelines and high expectations. You pay attention to detail and can push through when deadlines are short and stakes are high.
  • Ownership – You take responsibility for your work, see tasks through to completion, and deliver high-quality output under pressure.
  • Relationship building – You value strong relationships and enjoy meaningful connections with colleagues and clients.

What you’ll do

From day one, you’ll be part of the action. You’ll work alongside experienced teams, gain real exposure to live deals, and contribute to meaningful work that helps our clients make major business decisions. You’ll learn fast, work hard, and build the foundations for a standout career in investment banking.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as part of a dedicated deal team – Collaborate with colleagues across global banking teams to find winning solutions for clients, including corporates, private equity firms, and financial institutions.
  • Join one of our specialist teams – You’ll be placed in either Strategic Advisory, Corporate Finance or Financing Solutions depending on business need and your skills.
  • Gain hands-on deal experience – Be exposed to live transactions from the start; your work will contribute to real decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models – Analyse mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and debt and equity financings through modelling and valuation work.
  • Create client-facing materials – Support the team in developing pitchbooks, management presentations, and investment materials tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Apply valuation techniques – Use industry-standard methods such as discounted cash flow and comparable companies.
  • Research and analyse market trends – Stay informed on market developments and use insights to inform presentations and strengthen client relationships.
  • Support transactions – Prepare documents, meet clients, conduct research and checks before deals, and assist in deal delivery as they unfold.
  • Assist with team coordination – Help Senior Bankers with schedule management, meeting preparation, and project tracking.
  • Maintain compliance – Learn how to follow regulations and compliance standards to protect you, the team, and our clients.

What you’ll learn

We’re more interested in your trajectory than your chosen study area. This programme develops the technical expertise, commercial awareness, and confidence needed to thrive in investment banking.

You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. We’ll support your learning with mentoring, training, and on-the-job experience.

Real-world learning

  • You’ll be challenged from the start with long hours and real impact.
  • You’ll learn to work under pressure, juggle priorities, and make informed decisions.
  • You’ll develop the ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential deal information.

Technical & financial skills

  • Build core banking skills in risk management, compliance, and financial analysis.
  • Learn to build financial models and value businesses, essential for analysing deals like mergers and acquisitions.
  • Learn leveraged buyout modelling and evaluate opportunities in loan and credit markets.
  • Deepen understanding of how financial markets operate.

Professional qualifications

We’ll support you in gaining industry qualifications depending on your location. In addition, you’ll receive two weeks of residential technical and behavioural training led by external experts.

This is an investment in knowledge with purpose. By the end of the programme, you’ll be confident navigating complex financial environments and contributing to deals that matter.
