We are seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team in the role of Business Analyst - Data Strategy Delivery & BI.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of a data roadmap for Singapore, engaging stakeholders to understand expectations, identify conflicts, prioritise initiatives, and develop management options for execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and available analytics tooling, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Support delivery and execution of the Market data roadmap, aligning relevant OKRs and metrics from HSBC Data Strategy and markets, prioritising funding, and providing progress reports.
• Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; define data requirements and ensure seamless ingestion of data from multiple sources into a single data repository.
• Analyse data ingestion processes, identify improvements, and work with technology teams to implement robust data ingestion solutions while ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to analyse complex data sets, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies related to non-financial risk; develop predictive models and algorithms to assess and mitigate non-financial risk.
• Partner with Businesses and Functions to develop actionable recommendations and process flows to enable timely and effective risk management interventions.
• Support regulatory requests for information, inspections, and internal/external audits.
• Assist CDAO improvement initiatives and undertake ad hoc assignments to meet delivery objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• University degree, preferably in a technical or business analysis discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Management) or relevant postgraduate experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of working experience, ideally with hands-on experience in data management, project management, data analytics & visualization, and business analysis.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge or experience in agile methodologies and project delivery is advantageous, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong willingness to learn and stay up to date with analytics tools, project management techniques, and presentation best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools and data analytics software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI); familiarity with SQL, Alteryx, and Qlik Sense is an advantage.
• Team player who can contribute as a team member and as an individual contributor as required.
