Collections Associate – GRF
Responsibilities
- Critically assess each case where retail customers are experiencing difficulty meeting financial obligations to the bank.
- Provide a service that reassures customers HSBC can help during periods of financial difficulty.
- Give customers confidence that HSBC understands their situation and concerns.
- Agree appropriate, positive, sustainable solutions based on each customer’s affordability and circumstances.
- Identify vulnerability and progress special handling of individuals when appropriate.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and Collections policies.
What You'll Need
- Relevant collections experience and ability to manage and review delinquent/revoked/written-off RBWM accounts, both Secured and Unsecured, by recommending effective collection actions that balance recoveries and losses (e.g., controlling flow prior to write-off, maximizing recoveries).
- Ability to handle all accounts impacted by MAS regulatory changes, non-English speaking calls transferred from offshore teams, and debt restructuring requests.
- Experience monitoring and supervising External Debt Collections Agencies (DCA) and Legal Recovery Law Firms, upholding HSBC values and protecting data at all times.
- Ability to manage and review drafts on exceptional collections cases such as customer feedback and MAS letters.
- Willingness to participate in UAT, undertake adhoc projects, or assignments beyond the given portfolio.
- Experience liaising with external parties such as lawyers, Credit Counselling Singapore, Associations Banks of Singapore, MAS, and HSBC overseas counterparts.
