Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager with corporate banking knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in identifying and engaging valuable SME customers through cold calling and prospecting, leveraging expertise in business loans, corporate accounts, and cash management solutions. This role requires a consultative approach to uncover customer needs, ensure compliance through thorough due diligence, and cross-sell relevant financial products to build lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Solicit new business loan or fresh funds opportunities through active acquisition of OCBC customers via cold calling.
- Deliver empathetic service by listening and understanding customers’ business needs and helping them expand their reach with prudent financial solutions.
- Demonstrate strong credit acumen with the ability to mitigate financing risk to ensure the robustness of the credit portfolio.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business operations and financial requirements, and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Identify opportunities to overlay banking solutions and services that align with customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless banking solutions and superior customer service.
- Foster strong cross-team collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to nurture and grow new business and partnership opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree holder with a minimum of 1–2 years of credit and sales experience covering local SMEs (preferred).
- Self-driven and willing to take on initiatives to drive the overall business strategy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers.
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze company financials.
- Innovative, dynamic, and highly focused on achieving results.
