Role
As a Manufacturing Technician, you’ll work hands-on in a cleanroom environment to build and test our multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that’s behind the technology we use every day. You’ll be responsible for building, repairing, and testing various types of equipment—including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs—and perform audits to ensure necessary parts are available and inspected for defects. Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps you’ll test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes.
Role Responsibilities
- Support and perform analysis jobs requested by stakeholders for process rejects, qualification/evaluation samples, RMAs; and provide the results to the creation of final reports.
- Plan daily/shift tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure hand-over of jobs to the next shift.
- Provide basic maintenance and care to tools and machines.
- Maintain the workplace to meet 5S and safety requirements.
- Support setups from established procedures where applicable.
- Contribute to capabilities/techniques enhancement for better precision and efficiency.
- Contribute to lab setup for task enablement.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Perform other ad-hoc activities assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma in Materials/Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with common analysis techniques and instruments such as cross-sectioning, ion-mill, CSAM, EDX, FTIR, FIB, etc.
- Knowledge of Reliability Environmental Stress Test requirements (including HTHH, TC, UV & LT tests) and material characterization procedures (including bend, abrasion, and adhesion tests) is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials physics and the ability to relate it to relevant tests.
- Self-directed and willing to take on new tasks.
- Able to perform shift work and support overtime when required.
