Introduction
We are expanding our Singapore Hub and are looking for Equipment Engineers. In this role you will plan and implement effective preventive maintenance programs, monitor and control equipment performance indices, and participate in various continuous improvement programs to drive optimization across the organization. This role will require you to work with global teams and will include travel to other regions.

Your Job
- To own, maintain and improve the following indices: Quality, Uptime and Cost
- Sustain equipment KPI and drive continuous improvements to enhance performance
- Optimize preventive maintenance procedures to make them more effective and efficient
- Coordinate with process and manufacturing Engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives
- Manage logistics for parts to prevent prolonged uptime losses in case of equipment failure
- Manage the expenditure allocated for equipment maintenance without compromising on quality output
- Continuously improve equipment KPI in terms of quality, uptime, and costs
- Coach and mentor subordinates to ensure skill level and knowledge are up to date, and provide feedback on performance
- Uphold 6S in Fab, SubFab and Office areas
- Document Corrective Actions and Best Known Methods, and disseminate them for maximum ROI and learning
- Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and maintenance costs
- Become the technical expert for the respective machine specialization
- Understand FMEA and generate FMEA analyses for new tools, using them to identify tool weaknesses and derive the top 3–5 risk factors
- Multiple open positions to support Global Fab’s (US / Germany / Singapore)
Required Qualifications
- Degree/Master in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Chemical / Microelectronics)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a semiconductor industry
- Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
- Strong SPC knowledge (Statistical Process Control)
- Experience in a high-volume production environment
- Knowledge of process engineering software systems and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
- Fresh graduates are welcome
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in foundry or similar industry background is an added advantage
- Analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous, fast learner, and able to work in a diverse work environment
