Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Junior Analyst to join our Capital Markets Advisory Desk. The Leveraged Finance team originates new issue corporate debt across sub-investment grade clients, including sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts, corporate acquisition financings, liability management, restructurings, and other debt executions. As a Capital Markets Desk Analyst within Leveraged Finance, you will work with a small, collaborative group that connects our investment banking and markets businesses. You will be integral to the Leveraged Finance team, with work products relied upon by senior leaders, corporate clients, and financial sponsors, and distributed across J.P. Morgan’s Capital Markets teams.

High performing individuals have historically had the opportunity to join the firm-wide investment banking analyst program in traditional leveraged finance and restructuring roles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Aggregating and analyzing high yield and leveraged loan market data
  • Creating concise summary materials on market conditions
  • Providing support on live transactions and day-to-day activity

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Current students (Bachelor's or Master's) in their final year of study at a U.S.-based college/university, or experienced individuals with up to three years of professional work experience
    • Students pursuing a Ph.D., MBA, or JD are ineligible for the program
    • Graduation date between June 2023 and June 2026

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
