Trainee Broker- Taiwanese Dollar- Interest Rates Swaps

Role Overview

TP ICAP is seeking a Trainee Broker to join our Hong Kong team. This is an entry-level role in broking, offering on-the-job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and think on their feet. Role Responsibilities

• Arrange or introduce trades from client orders
• Develop existing and new client relationships
• Understand the business objectives of clients
• Understand the underlying products being traded by clients and stay up to date with new products, procedures, regulatory, execution and clearing requirements (where applicable)
• Develop new business with existing clients and onboard new clients/traders
• Seek to increase the overall revenue of the desk
• Maintain updated knowledge of the products and markets; solicit feedback from industry participants through trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences
• Understand the desk’s business strategy and identify new business opportunities related to trends, future markets, products and clients
• On-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team
• Assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross-selling opportunities
• Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape
• Support a risk and compliance-aware culture and comply with group policies
• Exercise independent judgment with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate

Competence / Experience

Essential

• Bilingual language skills in Mandarin and English
