Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.

Role Overview

The Junior Technical Architect supports the design, documentation and implementation of technology solutions across Parameta Solutions. Working alongside senior architects and delivery teams, the role helps ensure systems follow established standards, are well‑documented and align with business requirements. This role is part of the Global Architecture function and offers exposure to enterprise architecture practices, solution design, cloud technologies and financial‑market systems. This role reports into the Global Architecture function.

Junior Technical Architecture Activities

  • Assist senior architects in analysing business requirements and translating them into technical designs.
  • Help document application and system architectures, including diagrams, standards and solution overviews.
  • Support the review of new and existing systems to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining technology roadmaps.
  • Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to understand system behaviour and design principles.
  • Help investigate issues related to system design, integration and performance.
  • Participate in technical discussions and support solution options with research and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date technical documentation.
  • Assist with preparing architecture review artefacts and presentations.
  • Support assessment of technical risks, dependencies and impacts.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry practices.
  • Suggest improvements to tooling, documentation or engineering processes.
  • Learn and apply architectural patterns, standards and best practices under guidance.
  • Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–2 years’ experience in software engineering, infrastructure, systems analysis or another IT role.
  • Basic knowledge of application development (e.g., Java, C#, Python or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, networking, databases or integration patterns.
  • Exposure to agile ways of working.
  • Experience in financial services or market data (beneficial but not essential).

  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.

  • Basic understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers, engineers and project managers.
