Description:

Support the origination and execution (financial modelling, analysis, structuring, and documentation) of infrastructure and energy investment opportunities, with a primary focus on the Americas, and flexibility to work across other target regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial modelling and analysis for investment opportunities.
• Assist in managing and reviewing due diligence and structuring work-streams, including managing technical, legal, and financial advisors, and supporting ESG, tax, and insurance streams.
• Assist in preparing presentations of investment opportunities for the investment committee.
• Provide analytical and research support to the team on competitor analysis and market reviews.
• Conduct in-depth examination of the investment portfolio to identify savings and other value enhancements, such as refinancing.
• Support the portfolio and asset management teams, including performing quarterly and semi-annual valuations of held assets and reviewing financial model updates from project companies.
• Update fund forecast models for future business planning, including modeling equity returns and key commercial and financial inputs (such as debt facilities and future equity capital raisings).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with portfolio management, capital formation, and asset management teams, including undertaking rotational placements to support reporting processes and board oversight.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Management Science, or a related quantitative field, along with 1 year of experience in this or a related position. Prior experience should include:

• Experience in infrastructure or energy sectors gained through working with a project finance advisor, developer, industrial sponsor, infrastructure fund, investment bank, and/or lending institution (e.g., PPP/P3, renewable energy, energy & power, transportation).
• Preparing numerical analysis, written reports, and legal documentation.
• Financial modelling expertise.
• Managing multiple simultaneous initiatives and delivering work to agreed deadlines.
• Effectively and concisely synthesizing complex matters.
• Analyzing commercial drivers related to existing assets and new transactions, including key drivers for value enhancement.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 per year
