About the DWS Internship

The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions, and networking events. Traditional Investment Intern Responsibilities

As a Traditional Investment Intern, you will undertake a 10-week training within Traditional Asset Classes. Possible rotations include Trading, Fixed Income Investments, Equities, and/or Xtrackers (DWS’ flagship ETF product).

Depending on your placement, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Day-to-day management of traditional asset class portfolios, covering cash investing through investment grade, high yield, to equities.
• Supporting portfolio managers with trade execution, portfolio trades, and credit default swap orders in compliance with trading procedures and portfolio guidelines.
• Monitoring the public bond market, assessing relative value, and providing investment recommendations for specific securities aligned with portfolio strategy.
• Building and maintaining external relationships with banks, broker-dealers, and financial marketplace counterparts.
• Participating in internal meetings with portfolio managers and research as part of the investment decision-making process.
• Working on innovative and creative ETF/index concepts in collaboration with index providers.
• Interacting directly with key partners such as clients, index providers, and other business partners.
• Contributing to the production and promotion of thought leadership, content, and marketing material.
• Running product and market analytics, such as wallet studies, product comparisons, and peer/benchmark metrics.
• Partnering with client coverage and client-facing teams to provide commentary and discuss opportunities, macro events, investment performance, and strategies with existing clients and prospects.

Qualifications

Team Requirements

The team is looking for candidates who meet the following:

• Minimum of intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Word and PowerPoint proficiency is helpful).
• Strong interest in financial markets evidenced by coursework or relevant experiences.
• Financial modeling and analysis skills are preferred, but not required.

Salary and AI & Future Skills

The salary range for this position is $100,000, prorated. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
