Internship Program

Graham is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students to join its team as Summer Interns. The paid internship features a structured program consisting of educational, skill-building, and networking events.

Learning is a cornerstone of Graham’s culture and plays an active role in the internship experience through daily collaboration with employees at all levels, workshops, and—most significantly—projects that support the fundamentals of the business.

In 2027, Graham will offer in-person internship opportunities at its Connecticut and New York City offices. Interns will participate in firmwide programming alongside the broader intern class. Candidates may indicate their preferred office location—Rowayton, CT, or New York, NY—as part of the application process. Depending on business needs, candidates may be considered for opportunities in either location.

Potential Internship Areas

Most departments will be seeking interns, including but not limited to:

• Quantitative Strategies, including systematic alpha generation and quantitative trading and operations
• Discretionary Portfolio Management
• Risk Management
• Investor Services
• Economic Research
• Technology, including software development and IT support
• Trading Services, including financial reporting
• Legal and Compliance

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree, with an interest in financial markets, investment management, or the financial services industry
• Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study before the start of the summer internship at Graham
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or other analytical tools relevant to the internship
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• High degree of intellectual curiosity
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to focus in a dynamic environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage workloads
• Hard-working, diligent, and eager to learn in an intellectual and collaborative environment

Additional Qualifications for Quantitative Roles

These roles typically include positions in Quantitative Strategies, Risk Management, and Technology.

• Working toward a degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering
• Programming skills

Pay Range

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $40 to $55 per hour. The anticipated range is based on information available when this posting was generated. The hourly rate paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including the nature and extent of prior experience, skills, and qualifications.

Work Arrangement

This is an in-person internship. Interns are expected to work from their assigned Graham office Monday through Friday for the duration of the program.
