Geospatial Data Analyst (contractor)

Responsibilities

• Work with project developers to develop code to quantify net carbon removal or reduction in biosphere projects going through Isometric’s validation & verification process, in line with Isometric protocols. This includes:
  • Conducting AGB estimates;
  • Developing dynamic baseline approaches;
  • Developing uncertainty quantification approaches.
• Support Isometric’s commercial team in providing bespoke indicative analysis to inform potential project developers about their carbon sequestration potential.
• Abstract the bespoke solutions you develop for project developers into reusable code components.
• Collaborate with the Data Science and Biosphere Science teams at Isometric to review and adapt your approaches.

What We Are Looking For

• Proficiency in data analysis, geospatial data, and using cloud-hosted tools (e.g. BigQuery, Jupyter).
• Strong Python skills, with experience in data abstractions, pipeline management, and integrating machine learning solutions.
• Clear communication skills and a skilled ability to work with customers.
• Adaptability to evolving priorities and a proactive approach to solving impactful problems, especially in dynamic environments.
