Responsibilities

  • Assist multi-state companies with state unclaimed property matters, including audit defense, voluntary compliance, annual reporting, policy and procedure development, and consulting.
  • Assist multi-state companies with unclaimed property audits by preparing clients for discussions with auditors, reviewing document requests and audit assessments, and representing clients at meetings.
  • Review unclaimed property compliance processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist KPMG audit teams with the review and analysis of unclaimed property reserves.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of unclaimed property experience, including audit defense, voluntary compliance, process reviews, and developing policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college or university.
  • Financial statement audit experience.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and research skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors, including the applicant’s skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, degrees and certifications, and market considerations.

California salary range: $67,450–$119,830
