Who You Will Work With
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You thrive in a high-performance, high-reward culture—doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, you will receive the resources, mentorship, and opportunities needed to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Colleagues at all levels invest deeply in both your development and delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you will receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth.
What You Will Have
- Continuous learning: Structured learning and apprenticeship programs help you grow in an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. You will take input from others to heart and own your learning journey.
- A voice that matters: From day one, your ideas and contributions are valued. You will make a tangible impact through innovative ideas and practical solutions, while upholding ethics and integrity. Diverse perspectives are encouraged and are critical to achieving the best outcomes.
- Global community: Colleagues across 65+ countries and 100+ nationalities create a diverse environment that fuels creativity and helps develop the best solutions for clients. You will also have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with varied backgrounds and experiences.
- World-class benefits: In addition to a competitive salary (based on location, experience, and skills), you will receive a comprehensive benefits package to support holistic well-being for you and your family.
What You Will Do
You will join the Private Capital practice in our London office to work in teams and directly with clients.
The practice is a world-leading advisor to the private equity industry and institutional investors, and a high-growth area for the firm. You will work with significant global and local private investors and their portfolio companies.
You will work in teams of typically 3–5 consultants to support private investor clients and their portfolio companies throughout the deal lifecycle, including diligence, value creation (including strategy, digital business building, commercial excellence, and more), and exit support.
You will assess and identify market attractiveness, provide targeted information and specialized financial analysis on potential acquisitions, and prepare and deliver high-impact verbal and written communications of your synthesized findings. You will work directly with portfolio companies on their value creation agenda across a range of topics, and you will be a subject matter expert on areas related to our service to investors. You will also collaborate with the wider firm network, including industry and functional experts, data scientists, researchers, and software and app designers. You will be recognized as a valuable resource of experience, information, and expertise both within the firm and for clients.
You will receive training and coaching to better:
- Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them
- Synthesize clear takeaways and recommendations from complex information using qualitative and quantitative methods
- Work effectively with diverse teams to develop the best solutions and drive action across people and organizations
- Establish trust-based relationships with clients to better serve their organizations
- Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner
- Develop your leadership style by leveraging your passions, strengths, and personal values
You will receive frequent mentoring from colleagues, including a senior colleague from your office or practice to help you grow and achieve your career goals. You will also work with a professional development manager who manages staffing to help you choose projects based on your priorities and the needs of client service teams. The firm invests in your professional development.
In your first few years, you will serve on multiple client engagements and work with colleagues and clients across different private investor settings and industry and functional areas. You will develop significant business experience and an investor mindset, and you are likely to engage with elements of the firm’s work including digital, implementation, and tech and analytics capabilities.
You will focus on serving investor clients and their portfolio companies. Because clients invest across sectors and types of companies, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of sectors and functional levers. You will be staffed full-time to client engagements.
Your Background
- Undergraduate degree or master’s degree, with 3–5 years of full-time working experience after completing your undergraduate degree
- Previous experience in a private equity firm with exposure to transactions and/or strategy consulting experience serving private equity clients
- Investor mindset and strong interest in Private Equity
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Capability to drive an independent workstream within a broader team project
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
- English fluency skills, both verbally and in writing
