Position Overview
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join our Valuations practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop a unique ability to combine knowledge of Real Estate, machinery and equipment, and personal property valuation with financial reports, tax planning, and general consulting purposes.
- Review and analyze fixed asset ledgers or inventoried listings specific to the property, plant, and equipment accounts on the general ledger.
- Conduct site visits, both international and domestic, at client sites.
- Assist with reviewing third-party valuations.
- Present analysis, assumptions, and conclusions to senior leadership.
- Prepare valuations for a variety of tangible assets (real estate, machinery & equipment, and personal property).
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of recent valuation or financial analysis experience in a professional setting, preferably with a consulting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related degree from an accredited college/university.
- Experience with developing the following valuation concepts: Trending Method of the Cost Approach, Replacement Cost Method of the Cost Approach, Liquidation Analysis, and In-Utility Analysis.
- Basic knowledge of accounting policies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, advanced Excel skills, and strong research skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
