About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This position supports all aspects of entry-level hiring, including the summer program and campus outreach, while serving as a liaison to law schools and assisting in developing strategies and budgets. This role is based in our New York office and may offer a flexible, hybrid working schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of recruiting efforts, such as coordinating candidate interviews and correspondence, performing GPA calculations, and maintaining accurate candidate records.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target law schools, career services, student organizations, vendors, and other recruitment professionals, acting as the firm's liaison and representing the firm at recruiting and external functions.
  • Plan and execute the logistics for the summer program and entry-level hiring, including orientation, programming, events, and offer letters.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and expenses for outreach and recruiting efforts, collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Recruiting Committee, assisting in managing long-term hiring goals, preparing recruitment statistics and reports, and developing presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Protect and maintain all highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information retained by Latham & Watkins.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively at all organizational levels and thrive in a team environment focused on customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, strong analytical skills with minimal supervision, and excellent attention to detail for quality assurance.
  • Organizational skills necessary to manage time, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, and interview platforms.

Required Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in legal recruitment or professional services.
