Strategic Finance Analyst

MongoDB is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team. This role is responsible for the financial and analytical execution of key business decisions, go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, partnerships, and investment decisions. The Strategic Finance Analyst will make significant contributions to MongoDB’s success by enabling executives and team leaders to make better strategic decisions, working closely with them to evaluate, plan, execute, and measure strategic business initiatives.

This position requires an adaptable self-starter capable of communicating clearly with stakeholders across the organization, driving tasks from initiation to completion, and thriving in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This is primarily an in-office role, requiring availability in our New York City office for approximately three to four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own key revenue forecast models for new and existing products.
• Drive the annual planning process and prepare monthly and quarterly board and executive reporting.
• Support the investor relations function and corporate development initiatives, including potential M&A activities.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform teams on operating strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities.
• Develop cross-functional partnerships with Leadership across the company to review investment opportunities, growth levers, and align on resourcing models.
• Lead, collaborate on, and contribute to the business case development for new strategic initiatives.
• Provide strategic advice and direction to facilitate fast decision-making.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an analytical role at a data-driven technology company.
• Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Confidence in forging strong relationships with business partners at all organizational levels.
• Drive for results, a sense of urgency, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Substantial experience with financial modeling and proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with data acquisition tools (e.g., SQL) and large datasets is a plus.

Compensation Details

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $64,000 — $127,000 USD.

MongoDB’s base salary compensation is unique to each candidate and is based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings.
