Treasury Finance is closely aligned with bp's Treasury function and provides accounting, reporting and control support across treasury activities, including funding, cash management and financial risk management. This role offers the opportunity to work in a complex global environment, supporting reporting, reconciliations, control activities and process improvements while gaining exposure to treasury operations and financial instruments.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide treasury transactional support, including maintaining and reconciling the Wallstreet accounting ledgers for transactions related to Treasury activities.
- Prepare and submit quarterly results for group reporting consolidation in compliance with all relevant group requirements and timetables, which includes intercompany reconciliation, analytical reviews, and control assurance processes.
- Support bp statutory accounts teams according to the established timetable.
- Support process improvement initiatives across Treasury Finance teams, collaborating with colleagues to assess improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Essential Education
- Qualified accountant status.
- Understanding of IFRS accounting treatments for financial instruments.
Essential Experience & Job Requirements
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work flexibly.
- Practical financial accounting experience within a Treasury environment.
- Good understanding of Treasury processes and systems.
- Experience in project work or process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across business and functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Wallstreet or FBW (SAP BW) is beneficial.
- Chartered Accountancy qualification is preferred.
