Program Overview

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program runs for 9 weeks, starting on Monday, June 7th, and finishing on Friday, August 6th. The internship provides an introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders. Applications are accepted only from students in their Junior Year, graduating in 2028.

Throughout the Program You Will

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking ambitious, creative, and collaborative interns who are passionate about content, digital, and client-focused marketing. You should be eager to learn, able to adapt quickly to new teams and challenges, and motivated to build a career in asset management marketing. Ultimately, we are looking for enthusiastic interns with a blend of technical and soft skills, eager to grow their marketing career in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills and Capabilities

  • Understands different types of marketing campaigns and content (such as articles, emails, and social posts), knows the basics of audience targeting, and is familiar with mainstream digital and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable working with data, tracking key metrics, and learning from analytical insights to support decision making.
  • Attention to detail when reviewing content and materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Effectively tracks tasks, manages priorities, and meets deadlines; proficient in using collaboration tools such as Outlook, Teams, or SharePoint for team communication and coordination.
  • Works positively within diverse teams, contributing to shared objectives and building strong professional relationships.
  • Communicates ideas clearly and concisely, adapting style for different audiences and situations, both in writing and verbally.
  • Brings fresh ideas, welcomes opportunities to innovate, and volunteers suggestions for improvement.

The Team

The Schroders Marketing function supports the business’s future growth through a Central Global Marketing team and Regional Marketing Hubs.

Central Global Marketing is organized around three core pillars: Marketing Proposition & Campaigns, Strategic Brand and Digital, and Marketing & Business Development Services (detailed further below). This is complemented by specialist teams in Corporate Communications and Wealth.

Regional Marketing Hubs across the Americas, UK, APAC, and EMEA partner closely with Central Global Marketing to adapt and localize global campaigns for their markets. They also collaborate with regional sales teams to deliver local marketing activity aligned to regional priorities.

Global Marketing

  • Proposition & Campaign Marketing: Creates Schroders’ global marketing campaigns and develops core messaging and materials that bring those campaigns to life locally. Works closely with regional marketing hubs and colleagues across Global Marketing to ensure campaigns are relevant, high quality, and ready to activate. Also closely connected with Sales to deliver practical materials underpinned by strong market insight and clear objectives.
  • Strategic Brand and Schroders Capital: Provides ownership of Schroders’ positioning, visual identity, and owned, paid, and earned media channels. Helps sharpen how Schroders shows up in the market, build recognition across key segments, and reinforce what makes the firm distinctive, including its public-to-private range and deep solutions capabilities across asset and wealth management. Schroders Capital is Schroders’ private markets business, bringing together capabilities across private equity, private debt, infrastructure, real estate, and other private assets to help clients access long-term investment opportunities beyond public markets.
  • Marketing & Business Development Services: Enables Schroders’ marketing and business development activity through specialist support and functional capabilities, including Client Research & Experience (to understand client needs and improve engagement across key touchpoints). Delivers Business Development Services, including support for RFPs, proposals, and DDQs, to help ensure responses are high quality, consistent, and timely. Provides Agency Management oversight with procurement and regional teams to manage agency arrangements, improve value for money, reduce duplication, and ensure effective agency use, particularly in specialized markets. Also supports broader transformation programs across the function, improving ways of working, processes, technology, and governance.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications We’re Looking For

  • You will be in your Junior Year, graduating in 2028. We no longer accept applications from Seniors considering further studies (i.e., Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course.
  • A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to understand our target audiences.

Candidates should be available to start the internship on June 7th and work through August 6th, 2027. This will be onsite in the New York City office 3x a week on a hybrid working model. Housing is not provided, but a stipend will be provided to those outside of the tristate area.
