Summary / Job Purpose

Provides support and assistance to underwriting staff by collecting data; organizing files and reports; and performing administrative and customer service duties for new and renewal accounts to help ensure the underwriting process is handled efficiently and accurately.

Essential Functions

• Inputs data into Tinubu for both portfolio management and to improve underwriting decisions.
• Gathers and organizes information to prepare new and renewal policy/account files for underwriter review and direction in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and standards. This may include setting up folders, preparing and completing account summary worksheets, scheduling rating worksheets, following up with brokers, and preparing electronic underwriting files and documentation packages for bound accounts.
• Maintains various account databases outside Tinubu to ensure up-to-date information and status updates are recorded.
• Provides timely and professional customer service to internal and external customers, including underwriters, operations staff, and brokers, to facilitate processing and ensure excellent service to accounts and prospects. Responds to broker service requests for invoices, powers of attorney, and related items; ensures appropriate documentation is received; troubleshoots transaction processing issues with the Operations Department; and researches and assists in resolving telephone and written inquiries from internal and external customers (e.g., policy/account status, rating, and billing issues).
• Reviews new/renewal submissions for necessary underwriting data and follows up with brokers for information.
