Energy Market Company Pte Ltd (EMC) operates Singapore’s wholesale electricity market, which is Asia’s first liberalized electricity market. EMC provides the IT systems, trading environment, and governance for the market, serving as the financial exchange for electricity trading. We transact over $6 billion of electricity products annually.

Finance Team

The Finance Team ensures the company’s financial health by managing day-to-day operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting accurate reporting. It plays a key role in safeguarding resources, strengthening internal controls, and enabling informed business decisions.

What the Intern Can Learn

• Understanding of GST compliance requirements
• Finance Operations and Reporting
• Insight into financial year-end audit processes
• Practical experience working with internal finance systems and processes

Job Responsibilities

The intern will primarily support the finance team members in the following:

• Day-to-day operations, such as invoice verification, compilation of purchase order information, and staff claim processing
• Financial year-end audits
• Finance initiatives and projects
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Undergraduate in Business, Accounting, or Finance (must)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (must)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
