Debtwire, a leading provider of global fixed income news, analysis, and data for more than two decades, is seeking a reporter eager to break news in the North American credit market.

Working on the news desk in New York, candidates will be expected to generate scoops on stressed and distressed companies as part of a team of journalists and credit and legal analysts. While the role includes extensive market training, the ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of finance and previous journalism experience.

Debtwire journalists are expected to use their initiative to uncover leads from market sources at investment funds, law firms, advisory shops, and beyond. The role also involves extensive collaboration with colleagues. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working at a financial news outlet or internships at top-tier publications.

The position offers opportunities for travel and moderating at industry conferences.

Salary Range and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $80,000 - $130,000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
