Position Highlights

Business Performance Improvement interns help Protiviti’s clients in the areas of finance, operations, people, and change. As an intern, you collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to complex business problems. Protiviti focuses on developing interns across the business so you can gain experience in different industries, grow your technical and professional capabilities, and build leadership qualities for future success.

Interns are encouraged to contribute ideas, learn through real work, and collaborate closely with others. You’ll receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with leaders across Protiviti’s practice. Talent Managers assign specific project experiences to support career growth and the needs of the business, and a network of advisors helps you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones.

You will participate in Liftoff with Protiviti, an award-winning onboarding live-virtual experience with gamification, and attend The Intern Challenge, an experiential learning course designed to help you build confidence and connections as you transition into your internship role.

During the internship, you may work across various industries and engage in internal initiatives. You will also receive a preview of Foundations, Protiviti’s entry-level full-time career opportunity, including experiences and learning opportunities in business operations, consulting, data, relationship building, technology, and innovation.

Areas of Internship Placement

• Finance Performance Management: Custom solutions to help finance leaders address current challenges and explore opportunities for continuous growth, aligning people, processes, and technology to drive efficiency, productivity, and transformation.
• Financial Reporting Remediation & Compliance: Support for complex financial reporting situations to reduce risk of non-compliance and exposure to financial restatements and other non-routine events (e.g., restatements, mergers, IPOs), including monitoring new accounting rules and assisting with complex accounting or reporting challenges.
• People & Change: Support for the human side of transformation, including people, talent, and skills components—developing differentiated employee experiences and enabling sustained behavior changes for large-scale initiatives.
• Supply Chain & Operations: Support for driving outcomes by reducing cost and improving efficiency and reducing risk while executing operations across complex business functions (Engineering, Source, Make, and Deliver) using industry-leading practices and innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Project Management, Supply Chain, or other business majors).
• Visa Status: Applicants for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Graduation Status: Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship.
• Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.).
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills and innovation to client engagements across various industries.
• Technical proficiency aligned to the assigned capability area.

How We Work

Protiviti practices a hybrid model that combines in-person work with remote work to support excellent work, connection, and collaboration. Requirements vary by client, project, team, and other business factors. Work may be performed in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, including local or out-of-state travel based on project and client requests. Interns are expected to be available to complete work in the designated location during business hours for the entire duration of the internship.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $28/hr–$38/hr.
