Job Summary

As an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team within the Investment Banking Division, you will play a key role in the execution of the firm’s business. You will work with experienced professionals on high-profile transactions, supported by training, hands-on learning, continuous mentoring, and feedback. You will contribute to M&A execution and capital raising efforts while helping build the firm’s franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills across major areas of investment banking and work toward becoming a senior client executive capable of generating and executing transactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute transactions by supporting due diligence, preparing documentation, assisting with negotiations, and liaising with relevant counterparties (e.g., accounting, legal, and other advisers) at the client and other stakeholder teams.
• Work with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams.
• Build and use complex financial models, complete valuation work, and perform analytical exercises.
• Draft presentation materials, management presentations, Board materials, memorandums, and other materials for M&A, capital markets transactions, and strategic client dialogue.
• Stay abreast of key market developments and build knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office, or a related role.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and an execution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders across other lines of business.
