What is a Compliance & Risk Apprenticeship?

This 18-month program is your chance to begin or advance your career in financial services while earning a Level 3 Compliance & Risk qualification.

Compliance is all about helping businesses follow the rules—such as keeping data safe and preventing financial crime. Risk management means spotting potential problems before they happen and ensuring companies stay secure and trusted.

You’ll join a global reinsurance company in London, learning how the insurance/reinsurance market works and why compliance is so important. From supporting teams with regulations to helping protect against fraud, you’ll play a key role in keeping the business safe and fair.

  • Support the business in the implementation of new regulation.
  • Support the Compliance Officer in the delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan.

  • Assist with the identification, assessment, advice, monitoring, and reporting against applicable regulatory codes, laws, and regulations impacting reinsurance compliance.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring reviews and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reporting to senior management, including contributions to board and committee reports, to keep senior leaders and Board members up to date on key compliance issues and required actions.
  • Maintain compliance registers.
  • Carry out testing and review of key controls in liaison with second and third line of defence teams, including risk management and internal audit.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong problem-solving and numeracy skills.
  • Achieved (or predicted) three A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (such as BTEC, T Level, or Advanced Apprenticeship).
  • Motivation to learn and develop in compliance and risk management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • No prior insurance experience required, but preferred.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to grow.

Why Join Us?

  • Structured Development: Gain a Level 3 Compliance & Risk qualification and hands-on experience in the London insurance market.
  • Hybrid Working: Two remote days per week.
  • Career Progression: Clear pathway to permanent opportunities and professional certifications.
  • Inclusive Culture: Join a collaborative, supportive team that values learning and growth.
