This project aims to develop a system using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze printed images (documents, mixed graphics, photos, etc.). The focus is on object recognition and anomaly detection (print artifacts, design flaws), along with potential root cause analysis to serve various customer segments.

• Develop cutting-edge models for object detection.
• Implement robust anomaly detection to identify print artifacts, misprints, distortions, and design flaws, with potential root cause analysis.
• Create a user-friendly interface for image upload, analysis, and dashboarding.

Key Deliverables and Success Criteria

• Annotated dataset of print images.
• Trained machine learning models for object detection, anomaly detection, and potential root cause analysis.
• Working prototype or application for uploading, analyzing print images, and presenting results through dashboarding.
• Documentation and performance evaluation report with results and model analysis.
• Accurate object detection, anomaly identification, and root cause analysis across a variety of printed images for different customer segments.
• An intuitive and easy-to-use system that efficiently processes large volumes of images with comprehensive dashboarding.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related studies.
• Ability to commit to a 5–6 month full-time internship starting in January 2027.
• Familiarity with machine learning, root cause analysis, and dashboarding.
