DV Commodities is a division within DV Group specializing in trading commodities markets, including crude oil, refined products, natural gas, power, emissions, metals, softs, and agriculture. Its risk management, world-class technology, and talented traders have enabled it to become one of the world’s largest liquidity providers and risk allocators in the energy and commodities spaces. DV Commodities currently has over 35 desks, with traders and staff located in London, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dubai.

Overview

As a Software Development Intern, you will work in small groups within our development team and/or trading teams to help build low-latency applications, systems, and trading tools that make a direct impact at DV. You will deliver well-scoped, self-contained projects within our established production codebase, learning to build new functionality that integrates cleanly with mature systems. You will use AI tools to accelerate your development while taking full ownership of the code you ship. Through this work and other development opportunities, you will grow your technical skills and gain a deeper understanding of how our technology stack enables us to serve our trading teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; expected to graduate between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028
• Proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C++ and/or Python
• Ability to read and navigate an existing codebase and deliver a contained project within it
• Effective use of AI coding tools, paired with the ability to critically review generated code and own its correctness
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ideally applied to numerical or performance-sensitive problems
• Ability to work onsite at our New York office 5 days a week

Compensation

$50.00 per hour
