General Summary

Qualcomm is looking for an Engineering Technician to support its Tesfloor and lab operations. The ideal candidate has exposure to a Test Semiconductor Manufacturing environment and at least 2 years of experience working on different ATE platforms. Experience troubleshooting and resolving test setup issues is required.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following test equipment is required: Advantest and Teradyne testers, handlers, and probers. Strong communication skills are also required to work with engineers and generate reports.

Responsibilities

The role provides line sustaining support for both the test floor and the engineering laboratory. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting testing of devices/wafers based on instructions from test engineers.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal condition by performing required PM/Cal.
• Supporting test and bench setup, which may include reconfiguring instruments and swapping/replacing boards to meet specific requirements.
• Debugging test and bench hardware.
• Handling additional specific assignments as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a test semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree.
• OR High School diploma or equivalent, plus 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.
