Role details
About the Company
Rilla is on a mission to index the offline world. Today, we’ve built leading sales coaching software for organizations doing sales offline. With over 1,000 customers—including The Home Depot, KKR, Neighborly, and PulteGroup—we enable AI sales coaching across organizations.
We’re backed by Google Ventures, Bessemer Ventures, Crew Capital, Broom Ventures, and others. We’re an in-office team in NYC with builders who move fast, obsess over customers, and maximize real-world impact.
The Role
As Rilla scales, the office is the engine everything else runs on, and no one currently owns it end to end. This is a founding role to build and systematize office and workplace operations.
You will own the physical space, the daily experience of being in the office, and the systems that make new people productive from day one. Today, this work is scattered and manual—your job is to turn it into a system that runs itself, so a team working ~60 hours a week in person never has to worry whether the space, food, supplies, or onboarding “just works.”
You’ll sit on our BizOps team and work cross-functionally with HR, finance, engineering, and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Own day-to-day office operations end to end.
- Manage vendor relationships (food & beverage, cleaning, facilities, building management) and hold vendors accountable to timelines and quality.
- Keep the office stocked by ordering and restocking supplies, snacks, drinks, and equipment before anyone notices they’re low.
- Plan and run internal events, team offsites, celebrations, and other moments that build culture in a high-intensity in-office team.
- Own office-related budgets, expenses, and reconciliations, and find ways to spend smarter as we scale.
- Build systems, checklists, and automations to make these responsibilities continuous—not a scramble.
- Be the go-to person for anything space-, supply-, or experience-related, and the first line for ensuring the office is a place people want to be.
Who You Are
- A customer obsessive. You deeply care about delighting clients and solving real pains—not vanity metrics.
- An infinite learner. You’re always looking to learn more and faster, and you feel uneasy with complacency.
- A team player. You enjoy giving and receiving feedback and growing with your team.
- Unafraid of failure. You take risks and view failure as a way to learn and improve.
- Affinity for the unconventional. You’re energized by rejecting conventional wisdom and trying bold ideas.
- Extremely focused. You prioritize your time and resources to maximize efficiency.
What We Require
- 1–2 years in office management, workplace experience, administrative operations, or a similar role (startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred).
- A track record of owning a space or program end to end with minimal oversight.
- Genuine fluency with AI tools and a bias for using them to automate real work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organization and judgment, with comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity.
- Willingness to be in the NYC office full time—this role is rooted in the space it supports.
Nice to Have
- Experience standing up office or workplace systems for a growing team from scratch.
- Experience owning onboarding/offboarding logistics or IT/device coordination.
- Experience managing vendors and office budgets.
Additional Notes
Prior experience owning all of this is a plus, not a hard requirement. If you’re a fast learner who’s hungry to own this from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
Don’t Work Here If…
Please don’t join if you’re not excited about:
- Building office and workplace systems for a company scaling faster than most.
- Reaching for AI and automation before you reach for a spreadsheet.
- Working ~60 hours/week in person with some of the most ambitious people in NYC.
- Attempting to build a generational company and handling the intensity required to do so.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000/year + equity
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supplementary food and drink
- Wellness / gym benefits
- Commuter benefits
