Investment Banking Analyst – Coverage (Central and Eastern Europe)

Exciting opportunity to contribute to our Investment Banking business within a dynamic team.

As an Analyst in Investment Banking Coverage for Central and Eastern Europe, you will assist on execution, marketing, and coverage work, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across all industry sectors. You will also support equity capital markets advisory on capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region, together with colleagues from the team and from relevant industry and/or product teams across regions.

You will demonstrate strong functional skills across major areas of investment banking and the ability to progress toward becoming a senior officer capable of generating and executing transactions. Job Responsibilities

• Support execution, marketing, and coverage work across industries and products
• Conduct research and analyze market data and companies
• Support the preparation of client presentations
• Perform valuation analyses (e.g., multiples, DCF, LBO)
• Build detailed and complex financial models
• Execute transactions from pitch to close (e.g., public and private mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; equity capital markets advisory on transactions such as listings and rights issues across the CEE region)
• Lead execution functions and work with junior analysts, including supervising work performed by junior analysts on certain tasks

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Relevant Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience, with good knowledge of the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products
• Outstanding analytical, financial analysis, and modeling skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
• Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
• Ability to work self-directed and independently, and to multitask across numerous assignments
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and deep knowledge of customary investment banking databases (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Fluency in a CEE language

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence (as assessed by the firm) and, where appropriate, approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
