What a College Intern - Supply Chain does at HP:

• Support supply chain factory services for the next lap in delivering best-in-class solutions using AI tools and data analytics to scale revenue growth and reduce costs.
• Work with supply chain domain experts to understand HP factory services’ vision for an automated, high-efficiency model that supports operations at best costs and efficiency for maintaining products for shipments.
• Apply data science to develop data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build tools to support manual actions via automation.
• Identify and implement AI and automation use cases to improve operational inefficiencies.
• Develop automation solutions using Power Automate (or other Microsoft ecosystem tools), Python, and related technologies.
• Support development of data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting solutions (Power BI).
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance in reporting outputs.
• Support AI automation and digital adoption initiatives, including use case rollout, user enablement, and feedback collection.
• Contribute to process optimization and digital transformation projects.
• Develop structured documentation to support automation solutions, ensuring clarity, maintainability, and effective knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, or Quality management engineering.
• Able to commit to a 5–6 month full-time internship, starting in January 2027.
• Proven out-of-the-box thinking abilities.
• Collaborative spirit with a growth and innovative mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Minitab, Excel, Python, and Microsoft Power BI.
• AI & Digital: Hands-on experience developing AI / GenAI solutions (e.g., Copilot, chatbots, prompt engineering) and automation use cases.
• Automation & Tools: Power Automate, Python, advanced Excel, Power BI, or other Microsoft ecosystem tools.
• Data & Analytics: Data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
