Project Description
This internship offers opportunities to contribute to next-generation semiconductor technology development and advanced research within Micron's Technology Products Group (TPG). Successful candidates will work with researchers and technology development engineers on projects involving semiconductor process development, materials engineering, device characterization, process integration, advanced analytics, modelling, simulation, and technology innovation.
As multiple projects are available across different functions and organisations, shortlisted candidates will be introduced to the relevant project opportunities during the interview process and matched based on their technical background, interests, and business requirements.
Where applicable, interns may leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, advanced analytics, modelling tools, simulation platforms, and AI-enabled engineering workflows to accelerate research and technology development activities.

Project Scope
- Support research and technology development projects focused on next-generation semiconductor technologies.
- Conduct technical investigations, experimental studies, and data analyses to evaluate process, material, or device performance.
- Contribute to technology development activities involving process integration, characterization, modelling, or simulation.
- Collaborate with researchers and technology development engineers to solve complex technical challenges.
- Interns may leverage AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or simulation tools to accelerate research and technology development activities.

Skillsets Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex technical and experimental data.
- Prior research, laboratory, teaching assistantship, industry attachment, or engineering project experience is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, modelling, simulation, programming, or data analytics tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or AI-enabled engineering workflows is advantageous.
- Demonstrated interest in semiconductor technology, semiconductor manufacturing, memory technologies, or advanced engineering research.
- Prior working experience and a strong interest in pursuing a career within the semiconductor industry are highly desirable.
Course of Interest
Ideal candidates should be pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Duration of Period
Ideal candidates should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of at least 4 months.
Opportunities for Full Time Employment
High-performing interns may be considered for future internship, graduate research, New College Graduate (NCG), or full-time employment opportunities within Technology Development and Research organisations, subject to business requirements and performance.
