Why Box Needs You

The Solutions Engineering Team at Box includes solutions engineers, value engineering, platform solution engineering, enterprise architects, and demo engineering. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be empowered to sell to business and IT leaders across industries and verticals, and take ownership in crafting customer-centric solutions.

You will work alongside the account team to define and expand revenue opportunities, ensure solutions are ready for cross-company deployments, and serve as a liaison between Sales and Product by sharing customer feedback with Product Management, Operations, and Engineering.

This role is based in the Chicago office, supporting Public Sector clients to expand Box’s footprint and break into new accounts.

What You’ll Do

• Research, explore, and identify customer business problems; think like a builder and experiment, iterate, and refine to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Work daily with the Sales Team to drive new revenue.
• Lead technical discussions and product presentations with audiences ranging from CEOs to IT administrators.
• Lead demos across the Box suite of offerings, including Box AI, Box Web, Mobile, Relay, Governance, Platform, and custom API-based apps.
• Become a Box product and industry expert by rapidly learning Cloud Content Management and the Box model.
• Be the voice of the customer by interfacing directly with the product team on customer feature requests.

Who You Are

• 4-year degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 1+ years of relevant sales, technical, or customer-facing experience, ideally within a SaaS and/or ECM environment.
• AI-curious and technically fluent; comfortable discussing LLMs, embeddings, automation, and context/prompt engineering concepts with both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to learn, understand, and communicate complex technical concepts and build compelling solutions that demonstrate business value.
• Experience leading strategic and complex customer engagements.
• Consistent over-achievement in past experiences.
• Technically adept with experience in web technologies and APIs.

Work Location & Collaboration

Box values community and in-person collaboration. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.
