Role details
The Derivative Reporting Accountant reports directly to the Derivative Controller. The role supports the reporting of all derivative positions—including retail and generation power contracts, and wholesale trades—in monthly management accounts, quarterly reports to the shareholder, and year-end statutory and group reporting. Working under the guidance of the Derivative Controller, the role assists with reporting activities and contributes to ongoing objectives related to derivative accounting and reporting, developing specialist knowledge in this area over time.
Responsibilities
- Support the accurate and timely preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet positions.
- Build and maintain working relationships with key teams, including Risk, Trading, Renewable Certificates Trading, Sales and Optimisation and Pricing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Trading Business Partner within the Commercial Finance Team.
Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Assist with reporting for monthly management accounts, quarterly shareholder reporting, and year-end statutory and group reporting.
