Overview
As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain valuable experience that can help you decide whether to pursue a career in audit or tax, and whether public accounting is right for you. You will work on client engagements alongside entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and applying your technical know-how. You will work with senior staff and management to develop your skills.
Depending on local office needs, internships may be available in assurance, tax, or a combination of both, and can be part-time or full-time. Winter semester internships generally run from early January through April 15, and summer internships typically run from early June through mid-August.
How You Will Contribute
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
Qualifications

- Solid technical accounting knowledge

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite preferred)
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

Required Eligibility
- Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework
- Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

New York Salary Range
- Minimum (USD): $28
- Maximum (USD): $32
The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
