The Amazon EU Student Programs Team is looking for ambitious students to join us as interns at the heart of our core consumer business. Key responsibilities

• Develop analytical solutions to business problems with high standards of rigor and data integrity
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Write high-quality code to retrieve and analyze data
• Analyze and solve business problems at their root, considering broader context
• Design pragmatic analyses and automated metrics that add value to your business area
• Understand data resources and when and what to use (and what not to use)
• Develop analyses (fully formed or exploratory) for the business’s sake, not for analyses’ sake
• Seek to understand relevant business objectives and align work to deliver business value
• Proactively improve knowledge of Amazon’s business and relevant data resources

Basic Qualifications

• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools
• Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
