The Amazon EU Student Programs Team is looking for ambitious students to join us as interns at the heart of our core consumer business. Key responsibilities
- Develop analytical solutions to business problems with high standards of rigor and data integrity
- Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Write high-quality code to retrieve and analyze data
- Analyze and solve business problems at their root, considering broader context
- Design pragmatic analyses and automated metrics that add value to your business area
- Understand data resources and when and what to use (and what not to use)
- Develop analyses (fully formed or exploratory) for the business’s sake, not for analyses’ sake
- Seek to understand relevant business objectives and align work to deliver business value
- Proactively improve knowledge of Amazon’s business and relevant data resources

Basic Qualifications
- Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools
- Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
