Trader: Fixed Income & Macro – Intern (US)

Overview

We seek to become the most successful investment team in the world by empowering Traders to bring investment ideas to life. Our Traders identify opportunities in major financial markets worldwide and take calculated risks. We succeed together in a team environment that facilitates close collaboration between Traders, Quantitative Researchers, and Technologists. As an intern, you’ll challenge the impossible in trading through a structured program that enables collaboration with senior team members and our CEO, Ken Griffin. You’ll also have opportunities to network and socialize with peers at iconic venues.

Internship Objectives

• Develop in-depth knowledge of a financial market
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to trading
• Constantly learn and adapt trading approaches
• Innovate by using one of the industry’s most powerful trading platforms

Your Skills & Talents

• Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in applied math, engineering, statistical modeling, calculus, computer science, physics, economics, or related disciplines
• Passion for the markets and a desire to seize investment opportunities
• Ability to think about the world systematically and quantitatively, with the ability to deal with uncertainty in a rigorous, statistical manner
• Interest in applying technology and/or quantitative skills to solve complex trading problems
• Experience with programming, scripting, and/or statistical software is strongly preferred

Location & Opportunities

Opportunities available in New York, Miami, and Greenwich.

Compensation & Benefits

In addition to weekly pay, interns may be eligible for a highly competitive sign-on bonus, housing stipend or covered living accommodations, company-sponsored travel, and a variety of on-site benefits, including access to on-site fitness and wellness amenities, catered meals, and social and networking events. In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $3,500 to $4,000 per week.
